I am so incredibly excited about these, that I had to take pictures before I finished trimming off the last bits of the loose ends, and before making the drawstring.
A friend of mine gifted me a box full of wool a few weeks ago after it was given to her when her MIL passed away. I found this wool yarn in the box, and decided to make up some longies for my friend’s little guy using his Grandma’s wool. My friend is musically gifted and I wanted to bring that in as well.
Challenges: it was stiff, scratchy stuff, and a bit on the thin side for longies.
Solutions: knit it a bit loose and a bit large, then fulled it partially so it’s soft, fuzzy but still a bit stretchy.
Embellishing these was so much fun! The horizontal lines I worked as stripes and knit them in as I went, the musical details I embroidered on later.
