Thanks to all who responded to my last post about my obsession.
While view blog stats, I noticed an amusingly large number of people found my blog whilst googling for “knit christmas tree”…which got me wondering.
Could it be done?
How would you, personally, knit or hook a christmas tree?
Personally, I think from the top down, in the round. Pairing increases and decreases to shape the points, of course. Maybe in a wool/mohair blend, so it could be fulled for additional shaping…you know, something like Peace Fleece?
Not, of course, that I’ve given ANY thought to the matter…
…but just imagine the embellishing opportunities.
And, no shed needles on my carpeting.
You know, maybe this isn’t such a crazy idea…

I wonder what the cat would to to it….

Hmm. I have no cat, so I have no idea. It would probably withstand my toddlers better than my live one is, though!

Don’t forget to add knit ornaments and garlands when you’re done … oh, and knit birdies for the branches, and little knit bunnies to sit underneath …
